RECONCILIATION OF HEAD AND HEART

1. ASPECTS OF HEAD
Two essential ingredients of happiness are security and freedom.
Normally we get them in a limited way or for short periods and our happiness fluctuates accordingly. We need a new way to look at ourselves and our life that promotes a new awareness and consciousness of the most powerful call soul.

To test this, consider yourself

1. A guest / trust - as a guest in this world I'm here only for a short time, so what really belongs to me? The knowledge that I do not have anything that means I CAN NOT LOSE ANYTHING. This frees me from a lot of insecurities. I am not responsible in relations and the "possession" in the role of trustee and guardian.

2. A traveler / tourist - life is a journey. We are happier when we travel light and be able to enjoy each scene. Life can become a burden when "collect" too much baggage or block me scenes side.

3. An actor - in this play unlimited life. The clear distinction between soul and role to protect me from identifying with situations and take things in a very personal and suffering that can result.

4. A detached observer - as well as being an actor, I can also see the play as part of the public. I see life as an incredible three-dimensional movie screened in front of me.

The real me is not defined by anything in this play. When I create the same false picture of myself (ego). This is the source of all our problems.

2. ASPECTS OF HEART
now exploring essentially as we recite in a play, our attitudes and relationships, with ourselves, with others and with God Our guiding principle is supported by the love of wisdom.

I can not really have love for others or for God without having first love for myself and do I need to know who they really are. Otherwise, my love / attention will go toward the role rather than to the soul. True compassion is love if not feed the ego of false identities. The self-respect and self esteem then they will be built on rock rather than sand.

It takes courage to be authentic. Feel resistance from both inside (from my beliefs, my habits and identifications) and outside (others who do not have them comfortable with my change). Courage is a matter of the heart.

At a practical level, when we really come from the heart of our attitude becomes:

listening
• • • appreciate
accept
• Allow

This applies to me and others as well. By contrast
I know that my conscience can slip in:

comparisons
• • •
competition complaints
• Critical

As my understanding and appreciation grow, to myself and to others, even my relationship with God grows. Tapping into that source of wisdom and love allows me to experience these quality and share more. So my sense of accomplishment grows. The head and heart meet.

3. PRACTICE
1. I watch - my inner world and outside. I begin to meditate.
2. I stay in this - too much thinking about the past or the future is of no effect and drains away a lot of energy.
3. The good company - the best companion is God, the perfect example for excellence.
4. Give and receive happiness happiness - what we do to others we do to ourselves.
5. Daily routine - make time for yourself during the day.
